Alison + Parmour
My mom and I were called in on eight abandoned horses, and since my mother is a humane law enforcement officer for animals, we were told we had to figure out who the owners were or where they came from before they were abandoned. So we did just that – except for one horse who didn’t have any papers or history.
We decided while he was under our care that he needed someone special. I began working with him, and we just clicked. At first, he was nervous and wouldn’t respond to anyone. He was initially hard to catch in the pasture, but now he is always right in my back pocket. He has become such a saint, and I have begun training him in dressage and over fences, which he excels in.
Paramour and I have grown together. He has made me a better rider. I don’t deserve such a willing and trying partner, but I am lucky enough to have one. — This is what “right horse” means to me. A right horse is not necessarily a perfect horse, but a horse that brings out the best in you and can teach you many things. The right horse is a horse that grows with you and gives you strength, confidence and patience.

Congratulations on finding the right horse. Thanks to your patience and training, this handsome boy is also a perfect horse! IMO ????❤
