I heard from my friend about “Days End Farm Horse Rescue” in Maryland and she mentioned they had gotten a few Arabians in so I went and checked them out. After I had a few visits it came down to my grey flea bitten Lucy. She was still kind of green under saddle so I had to work on my communication skills with her but I fell in love with her gait and personality.

Once we arrived at Adoption Day I couldn’t really believe it… I was so excited. She did great and adjusted fine. Once she had settled we started groundwork, so I was able to understand and read her better. It is so vital in my opinion to have a solid connection on ground before you go in the saddle. Lucy was and still is so very smart, willing and forgiving, I could have not asked for a better partner. We are riding the trails and enjoying every bit of it.
