We adopted Warrior from Horses Haven, a nonprofit organization in Howell, Michigan.

Originally, my family and I were looking for a horse for my husband. Interestingly, Warrior ended up turning into OUR family horse that all of us ride and share memories with. We have taken him all over Michigan this past year on trail rides, camping trips and a few rodeos as a companion. This boy is so mellow and heart felt.

We don’t know much about Warrior’s background before he went to Horses Haven. He had some anxiety in the beginning, and it’s taken him time to trust us. Early fall he choked on his pellets and that experience alone bonded Warrior and I.

Since then he has been stuck to my hip and has found trust in me. And I have found a friend in him. We are so blessed to have found this guy and he will forever have a home with us. Every equestrian needs a Warrior in their life.
